Biography

Even when she was younger, if Charlotte Carter was selecting team members during PE, without thinking about it, she’d pick the people that didn’t think they would be chosen. From an early age, she had the ability to see in people what others couldn’t.

After studying for a health studies degree, she completed a Post Graduate diploma in social science research learning what makes people tick in any given way. It led to roles in the pharmaceutical industry, looking after clinical trials for cancer patients.

But knowing she was much more aligned with helping those who were struggling to live their best lives, she became a community fund manager for a housing association. Charlotte oversaw a budget of £300k and helped numerous people launch clubs and classes to benefit others.

It’s not surprising that she also worked for an environmental education charity, helping people expand and grow their mindsets whilst getting active and fit in nature. Other charitable roles followed, again where she could help others get back on track with their wellbeing.

Then, everything changed for Charlotte when she joined an all-women’s running club. For the first time in a long time, she was doing something for herself on her own terms.

On that night on 2nd April 2019, as she was getting ready for the first meeting, she looked in the mirror and realised she’d lost who she was and her own identity. She didn’t know why at the time, but knew it was a pivotal moment.

On the way back from that first meeting, she decided to leave her job, and retrain in clinical hypnotherapy and as a transformative life coach. Within three weeks of starting her own business, she was fully booked.

With that change came more confidence and where she’d first considered becoming a personal trainer in her twenties, she finally made her dream a reality by becoming qualified two years ago, at the age of 48.

As her success has continued, Charlotte is now one of the leading global high-performance mentors and the founder of I Dare to Leap. She helps high-flyers step into their power and harness their mindset and energy to become fearless, so they can unlock their full potential.

Offering retreats, in-person and professional coaching, as well as a 150 days ULTRA experience, Charlotte is passionate about helping others unlock their brilliance. She is also changing the narrative around high performance as the host of the internationally successful Becoming Fearless podcast, which is being listened to in 21 countries.

And the skill that is her superpower? Being able to see in others what they can’t already see, just as she used to be able to do when she was younger.
